Housekeeping Attendant Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Housekeeping Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our hotel.

Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, restocking amenities and linens, managing laundry supplies, and notifying management of any maintenance or safety issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, and polishing furniture and surfaces.
  • Restocking and Supplies: Restock rooms with amenities, linens, and beverages as needed.
  • Laundry Management: Manage laundry supplies and change linens regularly.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Notify management of any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Guest Services: Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Public Area Cleaning: Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of public areas, including hallways, lobbies, and restrooms.
  • Supply Management: Keep track of and manage housekeeping supplies and inventory.
  • Environment and Security: Maintain a safe environment for guests and employees, reporting any security concerns to management.
  • Standards and Procedures: Adhere to established housekeeping procedures and standards.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and service.

Requirements:

  • Physical Fitness: Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Time Management: Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Cleaning Knowledge: Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
