We are recruiting a Senior Data Scientist to work as part of a central data science team. Our client is widely regarded as 'best in class' in the Data Science / AI space.

The Role:

  • Unlock the power of data to analyze the energy industry
  • Collaborate with the Crude trading business to identify how AI/DS can create value
  • Explore new datasets, extract insights, and visualize results
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning systems to solve real problems
  • Share knowledge to build data and machine learning expertise within the business

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field; Ph.D. is a plus
  • Proficiency in Python with clean, well-documented code
  • 3-5+ years of industry experience in developing and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience with heterogeneous multi-dimensional data exploration and insights extraction
  • Background in vessel tracking / GIS
  • Experience with time series modeling (machine learning and econometrics)
  • Familiarity with AWS and Docker
