Role Overview :
As a Senior Trader at JST, you will be at the forefront of developing, implementing, and optimizing trading strategies based on quantitative analysis and data-driven insights. You will work closely with a team of skilled professionals to execute sophisticated trading algorithms and capitalize on market opportunities. Your deep understanding of financial markets and cryptocurrencies, coupled with your strong analytical and programming skills, will be instrumental in making informed and timely trading decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Trading Strategy Development: Collaborate with the trading and engineering teams to design, develop, and enhance quantitative trading strategies specifically tailored for the crypto market. These strategies may encompass statistical arbitrage, market-making, and other proprietary trading approaches.
2. Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of cryptocurrency markets, trading data, and market microstructure to identify potential trading opportunities and better understand market dynamics.
3. Risk Management: Work closely with the trading team to establish and monitor risk parameters, ensuring the firm's exposure to different cryptocurrencies remains within predefined limits.
4. Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of trading strategies and make data-driven adjustments to improve profitability and risk-adjusted returns.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate trading strategies into our trading infrastructure and contribute to the ongoing development of trading tools and technologies.
6. Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the crypto market, quantitative finance, and algorithmic trading. Contribute innovative ideas and insights to enhance the firm's trading capabilities.
Required Qualifications :
1. Educational Background: Master's in Finance, additional degree in computer science, computer engineering.
2. Experience: Minimum of 15 years experience in quantitative trading, algorithmic trading, FX Options, Index Options or market-making in the crypto or traditional financial markets. Solid understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and the unique characteristics of crypto markets. Strong experience with financial markets, trading strategies, risk management and market microstructure concepts.
3. Quantitative Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis, data manipulation, and quantitative modeling. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
4. Programming Proficiency: Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysis, statistical modeling, and algorithm development. Familiarity with data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly).
5. Fast-paced Decision Making: Ability to make swift and well-informed trading decisions in dynamic market conditions.
6. Risk Management Awareness: Understanding of risk management principles and the ability to manage risk effectively.
7. Team Player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
1. Machine Learning: Familiarity with machine learning techniques applied to financial data and trading strategies.
2. Crypto Exchange Experience: Knowledge of cryptocurrency exchanges and their APIs for trading automation.
3. DeFi Experience: Understanding of the DeFi landscape, including decentralized exchanges (DEXs), lending protocols, yield farming, liquidity pools, etc. Ability to analyze and interpret on-chain data to make informed trading decisions.
4. Located in Singapore.
