With the rapid growth of business in Asia countries, Total Solar is looking for a Credit Risk Manager Specialist to join in the regional finance team to implement and improve the credit risk management policies and processes across the region.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the head of finance and systems, this role will work closely with the Business Development, Sales in the regional office and in countries, as well as the Central Credit Management Team in Paris and Credit Assessment Team in Finance Ops center in Manila, to make informed decisions across the group and Asia region.
Credit Risk Policy and Credit Rating Matrix
Implement the risk management policy and procedure from the group.
Drive the policy and procedure optimization to best fit the portfolios in APAC countries.
Influence and ensure strong confidence of internal and external stakeholders on the credit risk management system in the region.
Spearhead the APAC credit committee to discuss/approve projects we can endorse to DG Credit Committee or flexibility requests in lowering down.
Review, maintain and improve on the customer credit rating processes and scoring algorithms to enhance the entire workflow efficiency and effectiveness.
Spearhead the scouting of relevant credit bureau report provider in APAC from D&B, Experian, S&P.
Initiate and ensure the completion of periodic credit reviews by retrieving needed AFS from customers, and trusted credit bureau report providers (D&B, Experian).
Develop and drive the implementation of country-based credit rating matrices exclusive to some markets.
Regularly review credit matrix computation and propose irrelevant ratios that don’t provide any impact in the assessment.
Identify and onboard qualified credit rating agencies (S&P, D&B and Experian) and insurance providers (Coface & Allianz) which might be helpful to the business.
Explore the need for local credit bureau agencies which will be beneficial in performing credit assessments.
Strong understanding of macro and microeconomics of APAC countries which might affect credit quality and propose appropriate rating recommendations and risk mitigation plans.
Initiate and implement the credit governance proposal to REN credit team.
Approve light credit checks performed by the sales team in the early phase.
Support projects for approval to business (REN/DG/CPPA) Credit committee.
Initiate and introduce credit agents and related credit assessment tools to be used by the BD team in performing light credit checks.
Review and approve full credit checks performed by the regional credit team according to the designed matrix and proposed securities.
Provide advice on credit proposal origination, credit approvals, and external financing risks with the relevant business teams and project finance team.
Drive and closely follow up on the approval from the central credit team and represent the region in central credit committee meetings with the business team.
Advise sales, legal, and finance on credit-related clauses in the contract drafting process, currently aligned with the inclusion of change of control clauses and deterioration of financial performance.
Liaise with internal teams in the group, banks, and external credit facility providers on the issuance of guarantees, bonds, and other credit instruments.
Maintain and report credit risk management dashboard to regional management and HQ.
Qualify the banks (Class A) or equivalent who will be issuing bank guarantees, performance bonds, and seek approval from APAC management if needed.
Credit Risk Mitigation – Project Construction and Operation
Perform annual credit reviews for all awarded projects.
Supervise and review contract execution for both on-balance sheet and off-balance sheet securities with the aid of CSM.
Supervise and review credit risk reviews and ratings on EPC contractors performed by the regional credit team in Manila.
Report to regional management on identified credit risks of operating assets and propose solutions.
Chair the regional credit committee meeting on identified credit risks and payment delays.
Facilitate credit reviews for REN/DG/APC across all countries.
Support the project finance team on the external financing process to raise debt.
Auxiliary Tasks for Region/Center in the Philippines
Office facility management.
Initiate the procurement of needed assets for the country.
Support and coordinate with operations and regional finance on licenses and permits required for REN/DG entities in the Philippines.
Home director and Treasurer for TRDPC, TRPPC, and TERPPC.
Related Experience and Qualification:
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in credit analysis of regional corporates.
Bachelor's Degree in finance, business economics, or a related field.
Experience in a credit marketing/credit evaluation/credit approval role in a financial institution, loan approval in banks, or independent credit agent.
Analytical and strong ability to provide credit-mitigated solutions to investment decisions.
Strong track record of extracting, analyzing, and tabulating relevant data to draft credit papers and make approval recommendations.
Maintain strong contacts with credit rating partners in SEA countries.
Excellent communication skills to drive decisions with internal and external stakeholders.
Leadership experience to manage an overseas team would be an added advantage.
Self-starter, willingness to take ownership of deliverables.
Success-oriented and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
