Roles & Responsibilities

Working Arrangement: 5.5 days work week (Mon - Fri: 8.30am - 5.30pm, Sat: 8.30am pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance of barge, crane, and all deck equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Ensure appropriate manning and coordination of crew on board the vessel.
  • Uphold safety standards and ensure the well-being of all crew members on the barge.
  • Act as Barge Master in their absence, overseeing vessel operations.
  • Operate the floating crane to lift and move equipment, cargo, anchor chains, slings, and related items.
  • Conduct visual inspections of the crane to detect any defects or malfunctions and report them to the Barge Master.
  • Perform cleaning and basic upkeep of the crane and associated machinery.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level or equivalent.
  • Valid MOM-recognized Crane Operator License.
  • Certificate in Lifting Supervision.
  • Certified Signalman and/or Rigger.
  • Completed Shipyard Safety Instruction Course (SSIC).
  • Experience in crane barge mooring operations.
  • Able to perform maintenance work on other employer-owned barges as needed.
  • Willing to assist in surveys and inspections when required.
