Principal Business Continuity Planner

About the Role We are seeking a strategic and proactive leader to drive our Supply Chain Business Continuity Planning (BCP) efforts, ensuring the resilience and reliability of our global supply chain operations. This critical role will spearhead risk identification and mitigation initiatives, collaborating across functions to prepare for and respond effectively to disruptions. Responsibilities Risk Identification: Proactively assess risks across suppliers, manufacturing, logistics, and outsourced partners globally. Mitigation Planning & Testing: Develop, implement, and regularly test risk mitigation and contingency plans through mock exercises. Redundancy Assessment: Evaluate supply chain and manufacturing redundancies to ensure continuous supply during disruptions; establish prioritization criteria. Investment Prioritization: Lead decision-making on investments that strengthen BCP and enhance overall supply chain resilience. Risk Notification Management: Manage timely and accurate communication of potential or actual disruptions. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison for internal teams, customers, and suppliers during supply chain incidents. Audit & Compliance Support: Assist with customer audits and inquiries related to business continuity and risk management. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and quality teams to integrate BCP strategies. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): Contribute supply chain risk insights to corporate ERM processes and enterprise-level risk assessments. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or risk management, including at least 3 years in leadership or BCP-focused roles. Deep understanding of supply chain operations, risk management frameworks, and business continuity planning principles. Hands-on experience with risk assessment tools and methodologies. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, ERP systems). Knowledge of regulatory and customer requirements related to supply chain continuity. Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making abilities, especially under pressure. Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
