Our client, a reputable financial institution, is seeking a Legal Associate to join their Singapore office on a 1-year contract . This role is ideal for a qualified legal professional with a strong foundation in banking and regulatory matters, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Provide timely and reliable legal and regulatory advice to the Singapore office and occasionally to Head Office. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including transactional agreements, facility letters, vendor contracts, and distribution agreements. Maintain and update standard agreements (e.g., NDAs, supplier/customer contracts). Liaise with external legal counsel, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery of services. Manage potential disputes and litigation matters. Maintain legal databases and ensure compliance with internal legal policies and procedures. Prepare periodic and ad hoc legal reports for Head Office. Support special projects and new business initiatives as assigned. Candidate Requirements Qualified lawyer in Singapore or other common-law jurisdictions (e.g., UK, Australia, Hong Kong). 1 to 4 years of post-qualification experience. Preferably with experience or knowledge in banking, credit, and security laws. Independent, resourceful, and able to manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
