Part-time Teacher of Tamil (Home Languages Programme)The Home Languages Programme is for students whowant to maintain a language spoken at home but who do not study this language as part of the academic curriculum during the school day at appropriate level. The students' ages are from 4 to 18 years old. HLP classes are taught in small groups of 3 to 6 students of similar ages and linguistic levels and will take place after school (or at lunchtime for some younger students). To apply for this role, you must reside in Singapore. Please note that we may not be able to sponsor a work pass for this role. Main Responsibilities Thoroughly plan, prepare and teach classes addressing the various levels of students in the class. (Differentiation)Use digital resources to enhance students' learning. Provide samples of students' learning in the school online learning platform for parents to follow students' progress. Provide feedback to parents, when required Person Specifications A recognized teaching qualification or certification is desirable. Candidate without teaching qualifications but possess experience teaching age group from 4 to 16 years old with appropriate resources are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have the ability to teach Tamil to students who speak Tamil as their home language or as a foreign language. Contribute positively and collaboratively to the development of Tamil Language and Culture in the Home and Community Languages Programmes.
