Key Position

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our chartering department in Singapore.

  • Vessel Procurement: Identify suitable vessels for spot and time charters that meet our business needs.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate charter terms with cargo owners, shipowners, brokers, and charterers, ensuring compliance and risk management.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop chartering strategies aligned with market insights and company goals.
  • Relationship Building: Manage relationships with cargo owners, shipowners, brokers, and charterers to ensure seamless charter execution.
  • Performance Evaluation: Collaborate with internal teams to monitor performance and provide commercial insights and reporting to leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8-10 years of chartering experience in the container liner shipping sector.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Maritime, Shipping, Business, or related discipline.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven success in charter negotiations, with sound knowledge of vessel specs and market pricing.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management and reporting skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Mandarin required to liaise effectively with Chinese stakeholders.
