Software QA Engineer – Embedded Wireless Systems We are seeking a Software QA Engineer to join our dynamic Software Development Team, specializing in radio wireless networking products. Our solutions are built on Linux-based embedded systems and deployed across commercial, robotics, and defense sectors—including drone technologies. This role focuses on validating the embedded software powering our Mesh Rider radios through both manual and automated testing. You'll work closely with developers and report directly to the Software Manager. Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases for Mesh Rider embedded radios. Expand automation frameworks using pytest, Robot Framework, and scripting tools such as Python and Bash. Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing on embedded systems. Analyze system metrics including throughput, latency, and reliability. Collaborate with developers to reproduce, isolate, and verify software issues. Support the setup and maintenance of embedded test environments and automation infrastructure. Required experience and skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience in software QA, embedded systems testing, or automation. Experience with embedded or Linux-based systems. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, or GitLab CI. Hands‐on experience with pytest, Robot Framework, or similar tools. Understanding of IP networking concepts (e.g., bridging, routing). Experience with wireless technologies such as Wi‐Fi, mesh networks, or LTE. Familiarity with OpenWrt or other embedded Linux distributions. Knowledge of CI/CD automation pipelines. Exposure to AI‐driven testing or automation agents.
