Data Center Design Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Data Centre Design/Delivery Engineer to support and lead the design, planning, and implementation of data centre infrastructure for a global banking client. This role demands a technically proficient professional with at least 5 years of experience in interpreting data centre layouts, reviewing vendor submissions, and managing end-to-end infrastructure delivery in line with stringent operational and compliance standards. Job Responsibilities Interpret and validate data centre floor plans, technical drawings, and schematics Design and develop layouts for newly allocated DC spaces, including rack placement, structured cabling, power, and cooling systems Review vendor-submitted plans, assess proposed solutions, and verify compliance with design requirements and technical standards Produce clear reports and presentations to communicate design proposals and assessments to internal stakeholders Coordinate and oversee infrastructure implementation with vendors, contractors, and internal teams Ensure adherence to approved designs, safety regulations, and operational best practices throughout project execution Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal data centre design standards and delivery methodologies Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related discipline Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data centre design, infrastructure planning, and implementation Strong expertise in interpreting technical drawings and working with DC design schematics In-depth knowledge of rack layouts, structured cabling, power distribution, and cooling design Experience in managing infrastructure delivery with external vendors, contractors, and cross-functional internal teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for high-availability environments Background in banking or mission-critical environments is preferred.
