We are currently seeking a highly organized and efficient Port Assistant Manager to join our team. In this critical role, you will be the central point of command for the daily discharge of construction aggregates, ensuring the seamless flow of materials that build our city. Working Location: Jurong Port Road.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Port Operations: Command the daily discharge of construction materials from barges and vessels, orchestrating manpower and equipment for maximum efficiency.
  • Drive Seamless Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison with port authorities and trucking teams, ensuring smooth arrivals, departures, and timely deliveries to our customers.
  • Deliver Critical Intelligence: Prepare and submit daily reports on vessel activities, operational metrics, and site performance to ensure transparent communication and informed decision-making.
  • Master Inventory & Logistics: Take ownership of warehouse inventory, guaranteeing an optimal supply of aggregates to meet customer demands.
  • Workplace Safety: Uphold and enforce the highest safety standards, ensuring the well-being of our entire workforce at port.
  • Ensure Operational Readiness: Oversee the maintenance and deployment of all operational equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Provide Critical Oversight: Conduct ad hoc supervision and site visits as needed to ensure operational excellence across all worksites.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics, site coordination, or port operations.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with a talent for managing dynamic, simultaneous tasks.
  • Strong, clear communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external authorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
  • Own transportation or valid Class 3 driver's license - Whether you have your own motorbike, car, or hold a Class 3 license, we've got you covered with flexible transport options.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset and the flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends, to support our 24/7 port operations.
