Overview
The Finance Executive / Accountant provides financial reporting support, ensures accurate month-end close, and collaborates with business units and the Finance Operations Team on revenue and expense recording, tax schedules, and statutory reporting.
Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely reporting for every month-end close.
Liaise with business units and Finance Operations Team to ensure revenue and expenses are recorded properly.
Complete all monthly close deliverables within the defined timeline.
Prepare Monthly Balance Sheet schedules and ensure no long-outstanding items.
Prepare tax schedules for the Group Tax Department per defined checklists; gather data for corporate, property, and related tax queries.
Provide prompt support to business units on operational matters.
Assist in preparation of GST returns and related tax compliance.
Assist in the preparation of Audited Financial Statements & XBRL where applicable.
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures in daily work.
Participate in and assist the BU with annual stock takes.
Support the Manager with any other assigned ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications
ACCA or Degree in Accounting
Preferably 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
Experience working in a shared services environment
Conversant with IFRS accounting standards
Knowledge of Corporate Tax, GST, and Property Tax
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Hands-on experience with SAP
Experience with process automation
Able to start on short notice
