As a Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) professional, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement QA/QC plans for various civil works such as concrete, earthworks, and roadworks. You will ensure strict compliance with project specifications, standards like ISO, ASTM, ACI, and local regulations. Monitoring daily site activities is crucial to guarantee that quality procedures are being followed diligently. Your role will also involve conducting inspections, supervising material testing for soil, concrete, asphalt, and ensuring proper storage and handling practices to prevent damage or contamination.Your duties will extend to documentation and reporting, where you will be tasked with maintaining meticulous records of all quality-related documentation including inspection requests, test results, and non-conformance reports. Regular preparation and submission of QA/QC reports to project management and clients will be essential, along with ensuring traceability and proper documentation of all construction materials and workmanship.Material inspection and approval will also fall under your purview, where you will inspect incoming materials, verify them against specifications and test certificates, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quality compliance, and approve materials and workmanship prior to their use in the project.Site inspection and supervision will be a significant aspect of your role, involving inspections for foundations, structural work, formwork, reinforcement, and finishing. You will witness testing procedures for compressive strength, compaction, slump tests, etc., identify and rectify quality issues or defects on-site, and liaise with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors on quality-related matters. Participation in quality meetings, site coordination reviews, and verification of field and laboratory testing will also be part of your responsibilities.Non-conformance management will require you to be vigilant in identifying and reporting non-conformances (NCRs), recommending corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of these actions, and coordinating with site teams to ensure compliance.Your role will also involve coordination and communication with site engineers, consultants, and client representatives on quality issues, attending quality review meetings and inspections with stakeholders, and supporting the project team in maintaining construction standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting internal audits, assisting in external audits, and ensuring that all construction activities align with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.This full-time, permanent position offers benefits such as commuter assistance, provided food, and a Provident Fund.
