Centre for Foundational Studies - Lecturer (Foundational Studies)Join the Republic Polytechnic's Centre for Foundational Studies as a Lecturer and contribute to innovative educational practices. What the role is This position focuses on facilitating student learning, developing curricula and contributing to Life Design and Innovation, Computing and Digital/AI Foundations, Social Impact and Sustainability, Science (Chemistry), and more. What you will be working on Facilitate student learning and develop curricula and/or contribute to areas such as Life Design and Innovation, Computing and Digital/AI Foundations, Social Impact and Sustainability, Science (Chemistry). Design and deliver engaging lessons and co‐curricular activities to enhance learning and foster holistic student development. Create a positive and well‐managed classroom environment that drives positive learning outcomes and supports student success. Collaborate with module teams to ensure seamless lesson delivery, share best practices, and continuously improve teaching quality. Provide pastoral care and academic guidance to support students in their educational and career pathways. Contribute to action research projects to enhance teaching and learning competencies and provide valuable insights to the educational community. Undertake administrative duties to ensure smooth operations and contribute to the efficiency of the programmes at the centre. What we are looking for Passionate about education, with a keen interest in teaching and mentoring youths. Self‐driven, independent, and proactive, with a strong team‐oriented work ethic. Adaptable to a fast‐paced, ever‐changing environment. People‐oriented with strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills. Proficient in facilitating classroom discussions, mediating diverse opinions, and evaluating reasoning effectively. Relevant teaching experience, including curriculum development, assessment, and online course design and delivery. Experience with EdTech tools and AI. Hold a qualification in a related field.
