Job Summary
Under limited supervision, designs, develops, and maintains test procedures, tester hardware, and software for electronic circuit board production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review circuit board designs for testability requirements.
Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures, and downtime of test equipment.
Prepare testing recommendations and document procedures from the product design phase through initial production.
Generate reports and analyze test data, preparing documentation and recommendations.
Review test equipment designs, data, and RMA issues with customers regularly.
Design and direct engineering and technical personnel in fabricating testing and test control apparatus and equipment.
Coordinate activities related to development, procurement, installation, and calibration of testing instruments and equipment.
Determine testing conditions, sequences, and phases of test operations.
Oversee operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
Perform moderately complex assignments of the engineering test function for standard and/or custom devices.
Analyze and interpret test data, preparing technical reports for test engineering and management.
Develop or utilize computer software and hardware for testing machinery and equipment.
Perform semi-routine technique development and maintenance adhering to Jabil standards, including ISO and QS standards.
Train production testing staff in new procedures as needed.
Follow all safety, health, and security procedures and regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering preferred; or related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Skills and Experience
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and Automated X-ray Inspection (AXI).
Experience fine-tuning test programs to resolve No Defect Found (NDF) or False Call issues.
Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machines in case of downtime.
