The role supports PaxOcean Singapore yard’s commercial operations across ship repairs and conversions.
Tasks And Responsibilities
Take charge of executing the commercial strategies to meet revenue and margin targets for ship repairs and conversions.
Handle enquiries from customers and manage competitive quotations/tariffs for Singapore yard.
Supervise team of estimators and commercial invoicing officers to ensure they discharge duties in accurate and timely manner.
Follow-up the tenders with customers and agents and negotiating the Contracts/Projects.
Handle client management at Singapore yard, as and when required and submitting reports.
Work with the Yard Operations team to maintain optimal mix of vessel types/scopes of work to maximise yard utilisation.
Ensure internal stakeholders adhere to and understand contractual obligations, and also determine when processes violate regulations.
To be able to assess all risks and make recommendations based on analysis of factors affecting a business situation.
Provide functional and management support in the management of Change, including negotiation and settlement of Change/Variation Orders with the clients.
Review of existing company procedures and policies on commercial management and provide constructive feedback for refining/updating of the existing procedures.
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering field or Diploma with relevant substantial experience
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in commercial roles at a Shipyard, including estimation and invoicing.
Team management experience
Conversant in Microsoft applications (Excel / Word / Powerpoint)
Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Power BI
