Roles & Responsibilities We are looking for ambitious, motivated and result-oriented individuals to be an Editor in our dynamic Editorial Team. Prospective candidates must be able to work in Singapore. Responsibilities Acquire academic contents for books and journals in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) topics. Manage and develop journals to improve both the quality and profitability of the journals concerned. Responsible for the full editorial process from manuscript to publication, including liaising with authors, reviewers, typesetters, printers, and designers, as well as preparing necessary paperwork and contracts. Cultivate positive relationships with authors, reviewers, editorial board members, key advisors, colleagues from various departments and other stakeholders to foster stronger collaboration. Ensure the commercial value of acquired titles by, e.g., analysing the time and cost of production, to maintain a steady and profitable revenue stream. Research and prepare statistics for market trends and prioritize publication that best suit current market trends. Participate in marketing and promotion activities for books and journals. Any ad hoc projects as and when required and assigned. Requirements Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Pure Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics. Effective verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal skills at all levels. Must have initiative, creativity, and a keen eye for detail. Must be able to execute all duties diligently to achieve professional success and also enhance the business of the organization. Prior experience in academic publishing will be given preference.
