The job requires the incumbent to work with Manufacturer of Electric Heavy Material Handling Equipment and Port machinery to provide the liaison and support to partners and customers in Asia Pacific. Some tasks include: Job Scope Liaise with vehicle and component manufacturers on technical issues and work with them to provide resolutions on any defects, technical recall, or improvement campaign. Perform electrical system troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades and training for a range of electric vehicle and its platform. This includes high voltage components on electric drivetrains, wire harnesses, sensors, motor and hydraulic controllers, and other components. Work together with other engineers to inspect new vehicles, troubleshooting, and suggest/implement solutions to fix any problem. Able to do diagnostics, firmware patching, software changes using handheld/laptop-based communications tools to perform troubleshooting, maintenance and data collection on electric vehicle control units, battery management systems and other control systems. Assess electric components and software failures and liaise with the manufacturer to promptly rectify any warranty or service matters. Verify and update technical documentation work including drawings, technical instructions, and warranty. Recommend and document any best practices and implement cost saving and safety initiatives to improve the reliability of the vehicle. Served as the lead for all high voltage electrical functional knowledge of the vehicles. Is expected to lead projects related to the electrical drivetrain, control systems, battery and charging aspects of the vehicle e.g. improve the reliability through improvement. Provide technical inputs to the manufacturers to improve the products. Participate in the business development of new products. Requirements Candidates with Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least 3 years of working experience dealing with the Electric heavy equipment, Commercial vehicle, port machinery, heavy equipment (trucks, cranes, large forklifts) or from other relevant industry. Preference will be given to candidate who has experience with Lithium electric commercial vehicles or heavy machinery. Ability to read electrical circuit diagrams, hydraulic circuit diagrams and general mechanical drawings to perform system functionality checks and troubleshooting. Possess intermediate knowledge of hydraulic systems and will be supported by other engineers in this aspect. Is prepared to dwell into technical details and strive to achieve a solution. Independent worker and able to work without supervision. Able to communicate well with peers and clients and must be a self-starter, team player and a problem-solver. Must be able to travel regionally for assignment (>50% travel is expected). Fluent in Spoken/Written English and fair in spoken/written Chinese as the job requires to communicate with both Chinese and non-Chinese speaking partners. Willing and comfortable to work with people from different cultures and languages. Possess driving license (can drive a car or small van). Not colour blind and physically healthy, able to climb up and down a truck and go underneath the vehicle for repair work as part of the job. #J-18808-Ljbffr
