Job Responsibilities
Deepen strong, trusting and respectful relationships with children through positive interactions
Support children with learning needs via small group learning and apply principles of diversity and inclusion in interactions and activity implementation
Adapt curriculum activities and learning materials to scaffold learning based on observations and documentation
Implement developmentally appropriate strategies to facilitate learning and develop positive learning dispositions
Identify teaching and learning methods, tools and assistive technology aligned with current trends
Partner with teachers to customize positive classroom management strategies and ensure child safety at all times
Document and track children's learning and development, and carry out learning needs assessments
Track attendance and follow up with activities to improve attendance and foster good relationships with parents
Collaborate with centre and child support colleagues to provide integrated care and education for all children
Contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous professional development
Follow health, safety, nutritional and hygiene practices in accordance with standards
Undertake any other projects as assigned by management
Job Requirements
Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education (ACECCE) or equivalent; at least 3 years of relevant experience in a preschool setting with 4-6 year olds
Experience implementing learning activities in small group settings
Nurturing disposition with patience and passion for working with young children from low-income backgrounds
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proactive and a good team player
Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
