This job may include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking. Installs and upgrades a wide range of complex and advanced company products according to technical documentation and company guidelines to ensure that customer's equipment operates efficiently. Responsibilities include: Providing highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site support of proton therapy equipment and ancillary devices, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, upgrades, repair, installation and commissioning of complex equipment and systems. Checking out and approving operational quality of system equipment. Instructing customers in the operation - and if the site has customer technical personnel on site: the customer service team in the maintenance of the system. Serving as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects, interpreting customers' needs and clarifying if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to 2nd level support or GFO management. Demonstrating to customer equipment operations and specifications according to Customer Acceptance Procedure and Customer Technical Bulletins, as required. Having an understanding of the clinical routines to be able to professionally work with the customer to support patient treatment. Coordinating and reviewing the activities of a small group of Installation Representatives and Subcontractors. Working in cooperation with other expert company resources, required to assist in performing the installation, upgrade and troubleshooting activities as well as service activities. Working within a compact team of site engineers, monitoring all aspects of the proton therapy system. Establishing and maintaining a network to 2nd level Support Team. Requirements: Possessing sound knowledge of applicable software, IT system operation principles and design. Having a customer-focused attitude. Being articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication and able to handle difficult customer situations including troubleshooting while customer is observing. Being fluent in English, both written and spoken. Being sound in utilizing business tools such as Microsoft Office Applications. Maintaining administrative Compliance in good standing. Being able to use acquired job skills and company policies to complete assigned tasks. Being proficient in the operation of radiation producing equipment and handling of radioactive materials. Other desired skills and knowledge: Experiencing with SAP or equivalent ERP and PDM products and productivity software. Experiencing in servicing or manufacturing of medical devices with conforming of ISO13485 standard. Knowing local language. Special job requirements: Meeting all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and continuing to meet those requirements during VMS employment in this position. Performing emergency on-site service interventions when required, to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction. Performing duties within a rotating three-shift system including holidays/weekends as required. Working flexible hours including beyond standard work week hours. Working in radiation-controlled area. Being subjected to occupational exposure to radiation and other occupational hazards pertaining to the installation and maintenance of the Proton Therapy System. Having the ability to access and work within confined spaces and heights. Being capable of standing, sitting, or stooping for extended periods of time. Being expected to travel approximately 10%, including international, dependent on assigned location.
