The mission of the Design Engineer is to enable successful mass production in factories and facilitate service, maintenance, and troubleshooting actions in Customer Support (CS). As an expert in SEM, you will serve as the technical interface among R&D teams and internal customers (Factory/CS).
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with electron-optics design engineers to review the design of advanced electron beam systems, participate in system integration, prototype testing, documentation, and initiate procedural updates.
Engage in early product design phases, ensuring all specifications are met and designs are manufacturable. Identify potential failures and weaknesses during design, perform diagnostics and root cause analysis to improve manufacturing yield.
Design manufacturing sequences to optimize cycle time and performance, take ownership, communicate technical information effectively, and validate performance data on prototypes.
Coordinate with other engineering groups to assemble, test, and qualify new sub-modules, ensuring successful system integration and qualification, taking responsibility for your scope of work.
Develop supporting documentation such as assembly, calibration, and qualification procedures;
