What You Will Do Project management and delivery support within mechanical engineering Governance of mechanical engineering standards across ASEAN projects Contribute to design processes, project engineering management, and commissioning from a mechanical perspective Develop mechanical equipment strategy and standardization across the ASEAN region to improve scalability and optimize resources Ensure all OEM equipment and engineering quality meet Mechanical Engineering standards and support local regulatory compliance Resource management including capability uplift in country End-to-end talent management of the Mechanical Engineering skill pool Safety – zero harm What You Will Need Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of professional experience Proven experience in mechanical equipment design and manufacturing with ability to design, analyze and implement strategic upgrades for heavy metal industry Experience in mechanical design concepts for machine design, hydraulics, bearing applications and selection, material selection, gearboxes and transmission systems Knowledge of mechanical design standards, design software such as AutoCAD, 3D design, FEA, and awareness of international standards Strong oral, written, and presentation skills on technical and non-technical topics to audiences across all levels Effective facilitator and coach Proficiency in English Preferred Qualifications And Experience Desirable experience in mechanical equipment design and manufacturing for Cold Rolling Mills, Strip Processing Line / Color Paint Line / Furnaces Experience on capital projects front-end loading and project execution phases Experience on erection and commissioning of heavy mechanical equipment Demonstrated effective change leadership across a global, multicultural organization Why BlueScope As we’re creating strength for the future through our people, products, and solutions, BlueScope gives you opportunities to innovate, learn and grow with the business, supported by inclusive leadership and a positive, passionate team.
