You process and perform analysis of cyber threats. On this, you implement technical solutions, analyse technical indicators from different sources, and generate intelligence reports to support the overall cyber defence mission. Your challenge lies in maintaining currency in the tactics, techniques and procedures used by threat actors, and keeping abreast of the technological changes and the potential threats associated with these changes. You also need to establish and maintain good linkages with internal and external cyber-tech stakeholders.
You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline. Having proficiency in programming and scripting languages, operating system concepts and cybersecurity solutions is required. Having past experience in the area of cyber threat intelligence, security operations or incident response would be advantageous. You should be resourceful and adaptable. Possession of strong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal skills is essential.
You review and advise on the designs of the Security Operation Centre (SOC)'s infrastructure, determining the placement and coverage of intrusion detections, endpoint hardening agents within the host and network environment. On this, you create customised security event detection rules and configure rulesets to implement and manage within the SOC to enhance operational effectiveness. You hold a concurrent appointment as a Deputy Head within the SOC, providing oversight of daily operations involving threat detection and incident management. As a Deputy Head SOC, you supervise the SOC's training and development activities, establishing and maintaining operational procedures, guidelines and knowledge management. You interact with various vendors and system managers within the SAF for discussion and coordination of SOC's system integration, project trials and system enhancement.
Your challenge lies in striking the right balance between leadership and technical skills while also possessing the technical acumen to guide SOC operations. You also have to manage resources which encompasses staffing needs and the integration of complex SOC tools and systems. In addition, you have to rapidly respond to cyber incidents while maintaining composure and leading the team effectively during crisis situations. You are also required to rotate with Hd SOC for 24/7 monitoring duties.
You must have a tertiary qualification in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent discipline, with at least 5 to 8 years' working experience in cybersecurity roles, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role within a SOC or Cyber Emergency Response Team. You should have the necessary technological knowledge and experience in threat detection, incident response and security tool management. Certification in GIAC Security Operations Certified (GSOC), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information System Manager (CISM) is preferred. You must also be proficient in security operations centre tools such as Security Information and Event Management, Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System, and Endpoint Detection and Response. You must be familiar with evaluating cybersecurity tools as well as vendor collaboration and management.
You assist in developing MINDEF/SAF’s cyber defence strategy and partnerships. On this, you support the development of strategies to profile cyber defence to the public, and enhance public defence diplomacy through cyber security. You conduct horizon-scanning, and work with a wide range of stakeholders including renowned academics and experts who can provide insights to MINDEF/SAF’s cyber strategy. You also work with the Cybersecurity Agency of Singapore (CSA) and key stakeholders in MINDEF/SAF. Your challenge lies in being able to move with agility between understanding broad, strategic perspectives, and drilling down into the details and nuances of key issues.
You must have a tertiary qualification, and a keen interest in cyber security, current affairs and international politics. You must have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with partners and stakeholders. You will be required to be meticulous, adaptable and be able to work independently. You may be required to periodically travel overseas for work. You formulate and implement cybersecurity policies, governance and regulatory frameworks to uplift cybersecurity across the MINDEF/SAF defence sectors i.e. MINDEF, SAF, DSTA, DSO, Defence Industries and MINDEF-related Organisations. On this, you liaise with Singapore government agencies, such as Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, Smart Nation and Government Office and Government Technology Agency. Your challenge lies in having to coordinate with multiple agencies to ensure cybersecurity strategy and policies are formulated and applied consistently across MINDEF/SAF Defence sectors in alignment with national-level cybersecurity requirements. In addition, you are expected to harmonise cybersecurity requirements at national level authorities with MINDEF/SAF Defence sectors cybersecurity policies and strategies.
You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably with specific IT and cybersecurity related modules, with at least 2 years' working experience in cybersecurity roles. Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), Certified Information System Manager (CISM) or relevant GIAC certification is preferred. Possession of creative and analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills, good communication and presentation skills, the ability to multi-task and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. You provide engineering guidance and technical leadership for the product teams. On this, you guide engineering decision-making, drive the architecture of complex software systems, and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices. You also provide effective mentorship, and look after the development of your team of engineers. Your challenge lies in understanding the existing and upcoming software development/ production environment and tools, and understanding MINDEF/SAF’s frameworks so as to ensure all products and tools developed adhere to the organisation’s standards.
You must have a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Data Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or related field, preferably with 5 years’ relevant work experience developing software. You should demonstrate a high level of technical expertise. Possession of excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
You drive and manage the digital products within Digital Ops- Tech Centre’s (DOTC). On this, you engage various stakeholders to strategise and plan the overall implementation, roll-out and adoption for digital products. You also manage the features, risks and direction of the products. In addition, you ensure that the products adhere to IT governance policies and comply with security guidelines.
You must have a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Data Science, Data Analytics or Artificial Intelligence, preferably with 2 years’ work experience as a Product Manager. You should also possess strong stakeholder management skills and have excellent interpersonal as well as communication skills. You must be able to work independently and be comfortable with conflict resolution. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
You monitor, analyse and respond to cybersecurity alerts and incidents in the operation centre. On this, you conduct investigations on security alerts that occur within the network system to identify any network risks. You also analyse and evaluate the operational impact and remediation actions for cybersecurity-related incidents that have been triaged. You take on the task of incident handling which includes verification of threats with network administrators, liaising and coordinating with affected stakeholders to contain and initiate remedial actions on impacted systems. Your challenge lies in the need to rapidly and accurately triage a high volume of security alerts which demands sharp analytical skills. You also have to manage the operational impact of escalated cyber incidents, while collaborating with other entities to consolidate data which requires effective communication in high pressure situations. In addition, you execute incident handling which requires both technical proficiency and strong interpersonal skills.

You are responsible for the user experience and user interface design of the digital products created by the centre. On this, you will be working with our product teams to ensure that our digital products are user-centric, intuitive and credible. You will facilitate product visions and translate requirements to user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes for an intuitive user experience. You will oversee the quality of the design solutions, identify design problems and devise suitable solutions. You will facilitate conversations to help product owners to clarify their intent and make strategic design and user-experience decisions for the centre.
You must have a tertiary qualification, with at least 2 years' experience in UI/UX Design and have a good understanding of the fundamentals of user-centric design. You must have a keen interest in digital technology and be able to clearly communicate and explain design decisions/trade-offs to stakeholders. You should be familiar with UI prototyping tools and be able to manage resources to achieve targets/objectives. You must submit a portfolio of your past design projects.
