Aerospace Component Specialist Job Opportunity

Excel in processing aerospace components by performing a combination of taping and laser operations or inspection tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Apply adhesive tape to aerospace components and clean them using abrasives and chemicals.
  • Collaborate with engineers and inspectors to process customer parts, assist in receiving, inspecting, and shipping new parts.
  • Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues, performing routine maintenance routines.
  • Handle critical aerospace components safely and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Analyze technical documentation, including work instructions and data cards.

Laser Operations Expertise:

  • Assist laser operators in running control strips according to data cards and interpreting results.
  • Loading and unloading aerospace components into robotic processing stations efficiently.
  • Cross-check rectification points on rectification sheets with programmed values to prevent laser contact with metal surfaces.

In-Process Inspection Duties:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of aerospace components and verify processing parameters based on customer specifications.
  • Maintain product quality and service standards, communicating effectively with the production team.
  • Conduct regular inspections and calibrate precision tools, keeping accurate records.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and perform hands-on inspections aligned with customer requirements.
  • Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Diploma/Nitec in Engineering.
  • Possess some technical experience; no prior experience welcome, as training will be provided.
  • Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work rotating shifts (morning, noon, & night).
