Job Title

A Quality Engineer is required to maintain and oversee the end-to-end quality management system for silicon photonic chips, covering design input, wafer fabrication (FAB), testing, and shipment.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee the end-to-end quality management system for silicon photonic chips, covering design input, wafer fabrication (FAB), testing, and shipment.
  • Manage quality-related documentation (SOPs, Work Instructions, inspection standards, etc.) to ensure compliance with DCC requirements.
  • Lead/participate in non-conformance handling and quality assessment/validation of engineering changes (ECN).
  • Conduct regular in-line quality control on the test production line, including test data monitoring, SPC analysis, and abnormality handling.
  • Perform GR&R analysis of test systems, validate and optimize test programs to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Conduct internal quality audits, monitor performance, coordinate issue resolution, and drive continuous improvement with wafer fabs and suppliers.

Customer Quality

  • Handle customer quality feedback and complaints, ensuring timely analysis and resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide corrective/preventive actions with comprehensive reports (e.g., 8D, CAPA).
  • Act as the primary quality interface with customers, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and alignment on quality requirements.
  • Support customer audits, qualifications, and quality reviews, ensuring products and processes meet agreed standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into quality standards for design, manufacturing, and testing processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience in fab manufacturing environment is a must.
  • Able to converse in bilingual as required to liaise with China manufacturer.
  • Hands-on, team player with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. He/She should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
