Overview Director, Operations & Transformation (Sustainability) Prudential’s purpose is to be partners for every life and protectors for every future. This role leads strategic sustainability initiatives across the Group, guiding transformation projects to embed sustainability into the business. It involves engagement with Boards, senior executives, and markets, steering execution and ensuring alignment with business imperatives, while leading cross-market program management and knowledge sharing. Responsibilities Leadership & judgement of strategic Sustainability priorities Drive strategic sustainability focus, provide oversight and judgement in prioritising and executing Group-wide sustainability initiatives; act as gatekeeper to triage requests and assign to appropriate teams; serve as the central point of contact for sustainability delivery across the business; facilitate clear team communication for timely execution. Execution and transformation for tangible outcomes Oversee and manage the execution of the Sustainability Centre Of Excellence Operating model; oversee maturity evolution of local business units; direct and administer sustainability transformation projects with defined objectives, governance, monitoring, and delivery within timelines and budget; use data and insights to inform decisions; deliver regular communications to stakeholders and address delays or performance issues; engage with senior stakeholders across markets to align workstreams and resolve challenges. Integrating Sustainability into business priorities Act as a trusted thought partner with senior stakeholders; coordinate engagement with Group executives, functional leads, and business unit leads to ensure alignment, collaboration, and embedding of Sustainability across the business; provide guidance to local business units to align with Group strategy; ensure Sustainability is embedded into annual strategic planning, budgeting, monitoring, and transformation efforts; coordinate and prepare Management and Board training sessions. Strategic narratives for positioning and embedding Maintain strategic narratives and messaging for internal and external stakeholders; ensure Sustainability strategy is communicated and implemented across markets and groups; lead briefings requiring sustainability inputs (investor meetings, events, articles); prepare governance updates with Sustainability COE members, and ensure training and materials for senior leadership are aligned with strategic priorities. Job Requirements 10+ years of professional experience (financial services preferred), with at least 5 years in leadership roles involving cross-market initiatives and team management. Solid understanding of insurance business models. Strong interest and familiarity with sustainability initiatives; practical experience in rolling out ESG or sustainability strategies is an asset. Demonstrated experience in leading transformation projects with program leadership capabilities and hands-on delivery, performance management, or strategy execution. Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence diverse stakeholders across regions and cultures. Experience in budget control, forecasting and management. Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills. Experience working with C-suite, Boards, and Management Committees.
