Vice President, Business Development (Product) About Us Headquartered in Singapore, SATS Ltd. is one of the world’s largest providers of air cargo handling services and Asia’s leading airline caterer. SATS Gateway Services provides airfreight and ground handling services including passenger services, ramp and baggage handling, aviation security services, aircraft cleaning and aviation laundry. SATS Food Solutions serves airlines and institutions, and operates central kitchens with large-scale food production and distribution capabilities for a wide range of cuisines. Key Responsibilities The Vice President will spearhead business development for the Fresh Frozen Meal (FFM) segment, to lead the strategy and execution for one of the most critical growth pillars within Food Solutions. With the business currently at SGD 1.4 billion and a clear ambition to reach SGD 2 billion within the next four years, the FFM segment is central to achieving this aspiration. The VP will be accountable for shaping the overall strategy, strengthening customer value propositions, and driving market expansion, while ensuring alignment with the broader Food Solutions business. Strategy Development & Execution Define and implement the long-term strategy for the FFM business to deliver sustainable revenue and margin growth. Translate the growth ambition into clear priorities, execution roadmaps, and measurable outcomes. Customer Value Proposition (CVP) Design and refine compelling CVPs tailored to aviation catering customers and synergistic non-aviation markets. Partner with Commercial, Innovation, and Operations teams to ensure differentiation and market relevance. Go-to-Market Strategy Develop and oversee end-to-end go-to-market approaches, including channel strategies, product portfolio positioning, and pricing models. Identify implications for existing product lines and ensure seamless integration of new offerings. Market & Competitive Intelligence Monitor industry trends, evolving customer needs, and competitor activities to anticipate market shifts and shape proactive responses. Leverage insights to refine strategy and enhance decision-making. Organizational Mobilization & Capability Building Inspire and mobilize the broader Food Solutions organization to execute the FFM growth strategy. Define critical job and competence requirements needed to support the strategy and work with HR, Operations, and Business Units to embed them. Foster a performance-driven culture and ensure teams are equipped with the right capabilities and resources. Cross-Functional Leadership Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance to ensure alignment and execution of growth plans. Partner with Innovation and R&D to drive pipeline development for FFM products. Financial & Performance Management Own the P&L for the FMM business line, with accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and return on investment. Track and report progress against strategic milestones and financial objectives. Key Requirements Proven senior leadership experience in the food, FMCG, or related industry with a strong track record of delivering growth in a competitive environment. Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing strategies that integrate customer insights, market analysis, and operational implications. Strong commercial acumen with direct P&L management experience. Deep understanding of customer needs, buying behaviors, and competitive dynamics in the fresh frozen meals category or adjacent categories, especially in aviation catering. Ability to mobilize and align a complex, matrixed organization toward common goals, including identifying and building required competencies. Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams. Innovative thinker with the ability to balance strategic vision and operational execution.
