Senior Test Analyst (Functional Testing)
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient
Senior Test Analyst
to support testing efforts across enterprise platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services, strong leadership capabilities, and a strong foundation in functional testing. This role involves leading test planning, execution, and reporting, with a focus on validating functional behavior and data integrity across integrated systems.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
Define and manage the overall functional test strategy and approach for projects.
Lead, develop and execute functional test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
Perform acceptance, regression, and ad-hoc testing across multiple platforms.
Conduct data integrity verifications, report reconciliation, and data flow validation across upstream/downstream systems.
Ensure alignment with test scope, entry/exit criteria, and validation requirements across all test phases.
Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and business analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Produce high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.
Facilitate planning sessions, design reviews, and test readiness/completion reviews.
Document test results, defects, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Defect Management and Reporting
Oversee, log and track defects using test management tools.
Review and consolidate defect reports and test completion reports for stakeholders.
Ensure timely escalation and resolution of critical issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in functional testing, with at least 2 years in a test lead or coordination role.
Proven experience in financial services or enterprise environments.
Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA, Selenium, Playwright, and Tosca is an added advantage.
Knowledge of data warehouse, experience with KDB dashboards, and insight into time-series data is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
