HR & Back Office Executive - Remote

Job Summary American Express is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR & Back Office Executive to join our dynamic team remotely. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys multitasking, and is passionate about supporting HR operations and administrative functions. You will be responsible for assisting with HR processes, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day back-office operations while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Assist in recruitment activities, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating onboarding processes. Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and attendance logs. Support payroll processing, leave management, and other HR administrative tasks. Coordinate internal communications, HR announcements, and employee engagement initiatives. Handle queries from employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Prepare reports, presentations, and HR metrics as required by management. Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and organizational procedures. Assist in back-office functions such as data entry, document management, and process optimization. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong understanding of HR processes, labor laws, and payroll systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‐solving abilities. High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Experience Minimum 1–3 years of experience in HR administration, back‐office operations, or related fields. Experience in handling HR software and remote work coordination is a plus. Working Hours Full‐time remote position with flexible working hours, aligned with American Express operational requirements. May require occasional participation in meetings across different time zones. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of HR policies, recruitment lifecycle, payroll, and employee engagement practices. Ability to maintain accurate records and generate HR reports. Strong multitasking and time‐management skills. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with cross‐functional teams.
