Physics Teacher (Full-time)

We are currently seeking dedicated and self-driven individuals to join our team. Your Pathway

Depending on your current competency level, you can embark on your professional teaching career at different points.

• Trainee (3-4 months): Acquire essential skills for engaging and effective lesson delivery, setting your students on a path to excellence.
• Beginning Teacher: Embark on a 1st year journey that blends co-teaching with gradually taking the lead in your own classes.
• Full-fledged Teacher: Attain this milestone and earn variable performance bonuses tied to clear KPIs, a reflection of your impact on student outcomes and organisational success.
• Subject or Team Leadership Roles: Take on added responsibilities in curriculum, people, or project leadership. A stepping stone to broader impact and future senior roles.

MOE teachers considering a career transition can start as a Full-fledged Teacher, bypassing the initial training phase.

Responsibilities

• Deliver between classes per week.
• Curriculum and resource management
• Participate in ongoing peer-sharing and professional development sessions to stay current with the latest educational trends and teaching pedagogies.
• Take on projects to hone your leadership and organisational skills by collaborating with team members to implement educational initiatives.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position but with semi flexi-work hours. Teaching staff are required to be in the office only when they have classes or to attend meetings and training. Most are clocking around a 24-28 hour workweek in the office, while working the remaining 12-14 hours from home. Typical class falls between the times of

• Tue - Fri: pm
• Sat or Sun: 8.45am - 6.15pm (depending on allocated classes)

Requirements for the Position

• For Trainees: Candidates must be dedicated to the training programme as a full-time commitment. Applicants should not be engaged in another full-time or part-time job nor be running their own business simultaneously.
• Long-Term Dedication: We seek individuals who are not only passionate about teaching but are also looking to grow with Concept First for a minimum duration of 3 to 5 years.
• Student Support: Candidates must be sincerely dedicated to supporting students wholeheartedly, helping them reach their maximum potential.
• Coachability: Applicants must be open and willing to teach using Concept First's unique proprietary teaching methodology.
• Educational Qualifications:
• NIE-trained or possess a Degree in Physics or Engineering from a recognised educational institute.
• Minimum Grade Requirement: O-Level Physics (A1 / A2) or A-Level Physics (A / B).
• Open to Entry-Level: Candidates with no prior classroom teaching experience are welcome to join as trainees.
• Prior Experience: Relevant teaching experience in tuition centres and/or MOE schools while not a strict requirement, is considered an advantage.
• Team Player: Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive team environment.
