Roles & Responsibilities 1. Eligibility Criteria (a) Educational Qualifications Technicians / Entry-Level Roles: Diploma or higher qualification, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Stage Technology, or related technical disciplines. Senior / Technical Management Roles (e.g. Technical Department Manager): Bachelor’s degree or higher in Stage Technology, Lighting Design, Acoustics, or equivalent. (b) Relevant Experience Mid to Senior Roles: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in technical execution or management for theatres, live performances, concerts, or exhibitions. (c) Core Competencies Good communication skills in English ; proficiency in Mandarin will be advantageous for liaising with regional project partners. Strong teamwork, safety awareness, and ability to perform under pressure. Sound problem-solving and project coordination skills. 2. Role Descriptions (a) Lighting Engineer Key Responsibilities Design lighting schemes and manage programming, setup, and live control for performances. Oversee lighting installation, wiring, equipment testing, and maintenance. Prepare lighting plans and configurations using design software. Provide on-site technical support and troubleshoot lighting issues during productions. Required Skills Proficiency with professional lighting consoles (e.g. GrandMA2, Hog4, Avolites Pearl). Familiar with CAD, SketchUp, or other lighting-design tools. Strong understanding of stage lighting principles and fixture configuration. Ability to optimize visual effects according to performance requirements. (b) Sound Engineer Key Responsibilities Manage live sound mixing, sound reinforcement, and system calibration during performances. Conduct equipment checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure stability. Design soundscapes and prepare performance-specific sound effects. Coordinate pre-show setups, technical rehearsals, and post-show equipment handling. Required Skills Proficiency with digital mixing consoles (e.g. Digico, Yamaha CL/QL series, Midas). Solid understanding of acoustics and audio system tuning. Skilled in signal flow, patching, troubleshooting, and equipment configuration. Knowledge of emerging sound technologies and live production standards.
