Join our global team as a Telecommunications Lead Engineer for modern communication systems in railway infrastructures. This role participates in the complete project life cycle of system engineering, starting in the Bid Phase and covering the project from the concept up to the final validation of system requirements, contributing to system requirement specifications and their assignment to subsystems and interfaces. The Telecommunications Lead Engineer is the subsystem lead technical authority and maintains customer intimacy to identify needs, requirements and opportunities to drive the technical engineering execution of the project, applying lessons learned from existing projects. Responsibilities Perform the role of Telecommunications Lead Engineer for the Projects in Singapore. Lead the local team of Engineers involved in different projects to ensure the design complies with customer requirements for fixed and radio network solutions. Ensure the design is technically correct, compliant, and meets the Contract scope and stakeholder business requirements. Interface with the customer in Technical Working Groups to capture user/customer requirements. Manage and coordinate solution design between Siemens units. Support Technical Director, Project Managers, and Contract Management in claim management. Ensure liaison within Onshore – Offshore engineering teams. Identify problems, perform analyses, and share lessons learned with the team for continuous improvement. Lead the local team to develop local competencies. Qualifications University degree (Master’s/Diploma) in telecommunications engineering. +10 years of experience in international engineering projects. +5 years experience as Telecommunications Lead Engineer or equivalent. Experience dealing with customers at technical boards/forums. Extensive experience in project management of telecommunication projects involving multiple technologies (fiber optic networks, radio systems, WiFi, CCTV, etc.). Industry background and extensive experience in railway engineering is an advantage. Ability to work in international project environments. Experience in interface management. Desirable experience and knowledge in T&C activities. Leadership, coaching, and development abilities. Results-oriented.
