The Clinical Research Fellow will support translational and clinical research in glaucoma, including investigator-initiated studies and industry-sponsored clinical trials. The role involves coordinating research activities, ensuring smooth study operations, recruiting and assessing patients, and contributing to scientific publications and grant applications.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and coordinate glaucoma research projects and clinical trials in line with SERI/SNEC research objectives.
Assist in project management and ensure effective execution of studies at participating sites.
Perform clinical evaluation of study participants, including ophthalmic and glaucoma-related assessments.
Recruit, screen, and follow up research subjects; counsel patients on glaucoma and study participation.
Support data collection, analysis, manuscript preparation, and publication of research findings.
Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) with grant applications, ethics submissions, and research reports.
Perform other duties as assigned by the PI.
Requirements
Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) and qualified ophthalmologist.
Ability to perform independent clinical assessments of ophthalmology patients.
Glaucoma fellowship training or relevant glaucoma clinical experience preferred.
Experience or strong interest in clinical research and clinical trials.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Eligible for Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration; temporary SMC registration may be supported for suitable candidates participating in HSA-regulated clinical trials.
