Overview What the role is: You will be responsible for carrying out audits on assigned areas so as to enable the Project Lead to conclude and report on the audit of a government ministry/statutory board/public entity. Responsibilities Responsibilities: The scope of work includes assessment of internal controls, planning and developing audit programmes, execution of audit programme, identification of audit issues and areas of concern, and preparation of management letters to auditees. Qualifications Singapore Citizen Tertiary qualifications in discipline such as Accountancy, Business (Banking and Finance), Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant disciplines or its equivalent acceptable for membership with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in audit, finance or its equivalent Possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and communication skills Fresh graduates are welcome as well as experienced professionals who want to make a difference to both your career and the Public Sector Remuneration and position offered will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience Serving Public Officers: Serving public service officers with the relevant experience or a keen interest may also apply to join AGO Candidates need to demonstrate proficiency in English through the provision of supporting documents such as GCE ‘O’/ ‘A’ level results, or other relevant supporting documents About Auditor-General's Office The Auditor-General's Office (AGO) is an independent organ of state and the national auditor. Our mission is to audit and report to the President and Parliament on the proper accounting and use of public resources to enhance public accountability. AGO conducts various audits and our observations include system weaknesses, non-compliance with control procedures or legislation, and instances of excess, extravagance, or gross inefficiency leading to waste in the use of public funds and resources.
