Responsibilities Collaborating with portfolio managers, researchers and traders to understand their data requirements and to find data solutions Onboarding and managing vendor datasets used extensively in Tower trading and research platforms Designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure necessary to support the firm's data management processes, including storage, compute, and networking resources Building and maintaining ETL pipelines Contributing to the design and development of Tower data platform Designing and implementing data quality checks Monitoring data processes and data health, participating in on-call rotation, proactively solving data related problems Supporting internal data users (Traders, Researchers)Qualifications Master's in Computer Science, Quantitative Finance or Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience At least 2+ years of experience in Python Familiarity with ETL processes, data modeling, and database design principles Familiarity with database systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL Experience with CI/CD processes and DevOps Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work autonomy as part of a global team Good to Have Proficient in AI/ML techniques for detecting patterns and anomalies Knowledge of referential data and corporate actions Experience in building scalable data systems Experience in the financial/trading sector Benefits Tower’s headquarters are in the historic Equitable Building, right in the heart of NYC’s Financial District and our impact is global, with over a dozen offices around the world.
