Senior Mechanical Engineering Specialist (Drafter/Designer)
As a Senior Mechanical Engineering Specialist (Drafter/Designer) at MKS Global Capability Center in Bangalore, you will collaborate with R&D teams from various MKS PSD Business Units to create, update, and document mechanical components and assemblies models. Your responsibilities will focus on sustaining mechanical engineering by producing detailed solid models and drawings, converting 2D to 3D files, and managing ECO documentation changes. Additionally, you will be involved in establishing and enforcing drafting/documentation standards, managing PDM vault, and working closely with other engineering disciplines to document fabrication processes.Your impact will be significant as you ensure designs conform to MKS documentation standards, including detail and assembly drawings, BOMs, design review presentations, and reports. You will also be responsible for managing labels and cables drawings, documenting tooling layouts, and applying best practices for material selection, design trades, and tolerance studies.The skills you bring to this role include at least 5 years of experience and a professional degree in Mechanical Engineering. You must possess exceptional attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in CREO and Solidworks, as well as experience with vaulting software/PDM systems. Your expertise should extend to supporting mechanical design groups in product development, Engineering Change Order processes, and collaborating in a cross-functional team environment. An understanding of drafting standards, GD&T ASME Y14.5, and problem resolution skills related to design and assembly techniques will be essential for success in this role.,
