Overview
Senior Experience Designer (Project Lead) to lead one of our strategic regional banking projects. This role goes beyond executing design work; you will be the anchor for quality, collaboration, and cross-regional alignment across Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. You'll work closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to guide the design process from start to finish.
Location: Singapore (regional project scope across SG, MY, HK)
Team Structure: Leading a team of 3 (Senior & Mid Designers)
Employment Type: 12 months contract
Responsibilities
Lead design efforts across multiple banking products with regional considerations
Serve as the design lead on the project team, ensuring quality and consistency in design deliverables
Review and guide work from mid and junior designers, providing mentorship and constructive feedback
Represent the design team in strategic discussions and ensure alignment with business goals and technical feasibility
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely handoff of designs, documentation, and assets
Mentor and develop junior designers to promote best practices and continuous improvement
Stakeholder Management & Requirements
Collaborate with Product Owners and business stakeholders to define product requirements and UX objectives
Lead discovery sessions and translate insights into actionable design goals
Align cross-border design expectations with regional business requirements in SG, MY, and HK
Solutioning & Design Execution
Translate requirements into wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
Utilize and contribute to Design Language Systems (DLS) to ensure UI consistency and scalability
Conduct quality checks on UI work and ensure adherence to design acceptance criteria
Collaboration & Communication
Work with cross-functional teams (devs, PMs, POs)
Ensure proper handoff of designs, documentation, and assets to developers
Participate in planning, reviews, and retrospectives to align on timelines and technical considerations
Portfolio & Qualifications
7+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 2 years in a lead or mentorship role
Strong experience in the financial services or banking domain
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, FigJam, Pen and Paper
Experience in building and managing responsive Design Language Systems (DLS)
Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex design decisions
Strategic thinking with a user-first mindset
High attention to detail while maintaining big-picture perspective
Ability to navigate ambiguity and balance user, business, and tech needs
Team-oriented, empathetic, and proactive problem-solver
Portfolio Submission
