
Shift Engineer

An Shift Engineer is responsible for maintaining the continuous operation of an organization's system infrastructure during assigned shifts. This role involves monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all hardware and Software function optimally around the clock.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Monitoring: Oversee the performance of servers, networks, and applications to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Incident Management: Respond promptly to system alerts and outages, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance, including software updates, hardware checks, and backups, to maintain system health.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and system changes to inform future troubleshooting and audits.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teams and departments to coordinate efforts and escalate issues when necessary.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Engineering, ICT, IT or Computing with minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance of Computer-based Information System or Networking or Higher NITEC/NITEC/NTC/ITC with minimum of 7 years relevant maintenance experience.
- Experience: Personnel with maintenance experience related to the System's hardware or software will be an added value.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to document incidents and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by shift schedules.
