Senior Software Engineer (Rust/C++) - Prop trading
This is a permanent position based in Singapore with a DeFi-native proprietary trading firm. Candidates open to relocate to Singapore are welcome to apply.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you will be responsible for optimising trading performance, reducing latency, and scaling the firm’s proprietary trading systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain low-latency trading systems for DeFi markets.
Develop and optimise direct exchange connectivity (DMA) across major venues
Enhance trading system performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, latency issues, and throughput challenges.
Collaborate closely with quant traders and algo developers to implement new strategies and improve execution efficiency.
Drive proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives with the tech lead and scale them into production-ready systems.
Key Requirements (Must have)
At least 8 years of hands-on experience in low-latency, high-performance systems engineering, ideally within HFT or crypto trading environments.
Strong coding skills in Rust or C++.
Experience building and optimising exchange APIs, order adapters, feed handlers, and smart order routers to support direct market access (DMA) and exchange connectivity.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on latency optimisation and system scalability.
