Position Details
FULL-TIME FACULTY POSITIONS IN FINANCE
Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University
Titles : Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor of Finance
We seek candidates with a Ph.D. and a strong record of research in finance. Responsibilities include conducting high-quality research for top-tier journals, mentoring junior faculty, and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Applicants at all ranks will be considered; senior candidates should demonstrate sustained scholarship and effective teaching.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field (or near completion) for Assistant Professor candidates
Ph.D. and established track record of high-quality research for Associate/Full Professors
Evidence of publications in recognized finance journals and potential for impact in the field
Ability to mentor junior faculty and contribute to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
About the School and Research Environment
Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB) at SMU is a dynamic school with more than 5,000 students and over a hundred full-time faculty members. It is triple-accredited (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA) and offers undergraduate, master’s (including MBA) and doctoral programs. The Finance group regularly publishes in top-tier journals, hosts an annual summer research camp, a seminar series, and visits by distinguished scholars. Applicants should submit a package including a cover letter, CV, recent publications or working papers, teaching and research statements, and teaching evaluations via the following link: Three letters of recommendation should be emailed to , addressed to Prof. Emiliano Pagnotta, Recruiting Chair and Associate Professor of Finance. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews. First-round interviews will be conducted virtually via Zoom before the 2026 AFA meeting.
