Overview Join to apply for the (LTA-MDET) SENIOR ENGINEER, PROJECT role at Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore. What you will be working on Join a team of changemakers on a mission to redesign the motoring experience – creating a future where transactions happen effortlessly, touchpoints are thoughtfully designed, and every interaction is delightful. You will be part of a team to reinvent the One Motoring platform, building new capabilities to enable real-time billing, personalised dashboards, and intuitive user flows. What the role is SENIOR ENGINEER, PROJECT What you will be working on (role responsibilities) Drive successful project execution, track deliverables, and manage vendor relationships. Manage Vendor Delivery: Work closely with external vendors, ensuring their work aligns with requirements, deadlines, and quality standards set by internal tech teams. Lead Technical Tests: Perform code and architecture reviews and lead software testing. Approve test plans proposed by vendors and supervise testing. Procurement & Contract Management: Manage contracting process from drafting requirements to award and variation orders in compliance with procurement rules. Support Agile Software Development: Define and drive agile best practices with the vendor, bridging communication between designers, architects, and vendors. Track Deliverables & Milestones: Maintain clear project timelines, monitor deliverables, ensure project documentation is maintained, and proactively address risks to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery. Risk & Compliance Management: Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring adherence to government IT governance, frameworks, and contractual obligations. What we are looking for Knowledge in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical background. At least 3 years of experience in technical project management, preferably within government or regulated industries. Ability to code and review software products. Experience with Jira and Confluence, DevOps, and testing practices is a definite advantage. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies for delivering enterprise-grade software. ITIL and Scrum certifications are a plus. Prior experience managing government procurement, including contract management, change management, and compliance with public sector regulations. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, engineers, and product leadership. Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple asks and workstreams while keeping projects on track.
