Meat Production Supervisor Role

The Meat Production Supervisor oversees the day-to-day activities of a meat production facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and handling procedures.
  • Managing daily operations to meet productivity goals.
  • Providing guidance and direction to production staff in their assigned job duties.
  • Enforcing shop policies, security measures, and customer service standards.
  • Developing positive customer experiences and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Evaluating staff performance and providing constructive feedback.
  • Controlling inventory levels to avoid overstocking and understocking.
  • Coordinating product storage and rotation activities to reduce spoilage and damage.
  • Assisting in recruiting and training new staff members on assigned responsibilities.
  • Assigning daily workloads and schedules to production staff.
  • Maintaining store cleanliness, safety, and appeal.
  • Implementing process improvements to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Educating staff on safety and sanitation procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performing other ad-hoc tasks as required by management.
  • Ensuring quality control by inspecting products during production and delivery.
  • Verifying that finished items meet quality standards by observing size and shape.
  • Supervising sanitization of all materials and machinery parts at the end of each shift.
  • Providing on-the-job training and coaching to junior staff members.
  • Developing team objectives and strategies to improve performance.
  • Maintaining accurate records, budgets, and inventory levels.
  • Conducting quality inspections on meats and other products.
  • Ensuring adherence to industry standards for food hygiene and safety.
  • Preparing for production by testing equipment and setting up parameters.
  • Monitoring processes and procedures during production to ensure quality and specifications are met.
  • Responding promptly to deviations from expected outcomes.
