Overview
Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Photonics at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The College of Science seeks a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to equality of opportunity. This hiring aims to strengthen the Division of Physics & Applied Physics in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) and their multidisciplinary program, with a focus on Photonics, Nanophotonics, Quantum Photonics or related areas.
We seek a future leader who can foster interaction between physicists, materials scientists, and engineers at NTU through ambitious research programs, and contribute to the School’s education and research leadership.
Responsibilities
Establish a world-class research program in Photonics, Nanophotonics, Quantum Photonics, or related areas.
Enhance the School’s visibility as an international leader in education and research.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and contribute to course development.
Actively collaborate with NTU faculty and researchers and foster cross-disciplinary partnerships (academic/industrial) in Singapore.
Undertake administrative and leadership roles as needed and contribute to service activities.
Requirements
PhD in physics, materials science, or a related discipline.
A strong record of research and publications in reputable peer‐reviewed international journals.
A good track record of securing research grants.
Experience supervising students and interns in relevant fields.
Experience with cross-disciplinary research initiatives and collaboration.
