Overview
Energy Aspects is seeking a Singapore-based NGLs/LPG Analyst to join our growing global team. This role targets a commercially minded analyst with 1–5 years of exposure to Asian NGLs/LPG/naphtha/petrochemical markets to help expand the LPG/NGLs service. Ideally, you have experience managing naphtha and LPG balances, understanding key trade flows across regions, and knowledge of major petrochemical units such as PDH, PX and steam cracker.
As a passionate energy markets analyst, you will play a central role in our LPG/NGLs service, making market calls on these rapidly changing markets and their interplay with downstream sectors. You will monitor market developments, write concise analyses, present to clients, and help upkeep supply/demand/margins data models. The role requires flexibility and the drive to go beyond core hours when needed, and you will be supported by a high-performance culture and recognized energy sector commentators.
You must be able to work independently and be capable of planning and prioritising to achieve success. The position offers excellent remuneration and an engaging, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Producing relevant and insightful reports and analyses on market movements to highlight challenges and opportunities for traders.
Predicting and commenting on market movements, formally through publications and ad-hoc with clients.
Keeping updated on latest Asian developments in NGLs/LPG/naphtha, analyzing their impacts on fundamentals and pricing with a focus on the China market.
Maintaining and enhancing NGL balance and tracking LPG trade flows.
Presenting views to clients and media.
Building and maintaining strong internal and external networks.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
1–5 years experience in covering/analysing NGLs/LPG/naphtha/petrochemicals markets.
Strong analytical skills with preferred exposure to Chinese NGLs/LPG demand, production balances, and trade flow dynamics.
Industry knowledge of Chinese petrochemical units including PDH, PX and steam cracker.
Experienced and dynamic presentation skills to large and small groups.
Attention to detail and ability to ensure client-ready content that aligns with the company ethos.
Ability to meet deadlines and work across time zones to deliver timely analysis.
Existing relationships with a broad set of industry participants (trading houses, producers, midstream companies, petrochemical firms) preferred.
Experience running supply and demand balances and using them to analyse future pricing trends.
Chinese language skills.
