Sr. Specialist - Full stack Java Developer
As a Senior Specialist - Software Engineering at Nasdaq Technology in Mumbai, India, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing software solutions. Your primary focus will be on programming and software engineering, where innovation and effectiveness drive you forward in a dynamic environment that is constantly revolutionizing markets and adopting new technologies to develop innovative solutions.You will be a valuable member of a cross-functional team, collaborating with colleagues globally to deliver critical solutions and services to the Market Surveillance team. Your responsibilities will include essential development activities, internal customer interaction, and building strong relationships with clients. This role offers you the opportunity to work in an experienced team, learning from subject matter experts and taking on more responsibilities to progress within the development team.In this position, you will join the Market Platforms Data organization, where you will enhance existing internal software products by adding new functions, adapting to new hardware, improving performance, and enhancing product usability. Throughout the product life cycle, from requirements to release deployment and maintenance, you will work closely with teams in Mumbai and other countries to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Your secondary skills in linux commands and utilities, bash programming, financial applications development, Java, Python, and the Software Development Lifecycle will be beneficial in fulfilling your role effectively. You will also have the opportunity to learn Nasdaq's proprietary Alice programming language for developing pattern-detection data mining algorithms.To be successful in this role, you should have at least 8 years of experience in Software Development, proficiency in programming languages like Angular, React, Java, and the ability to learn new ones as required. Additionally, strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential for troubleshooting and resolving complex issues efficiently.For this position, a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience is required. Additional qualifications or certifications related to the role will be advantageous.
