Biomedical Research Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Research Engineer to join our team in developing innovative medical devices and diagnostic platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, experience with 3D CAD design tools, and hands-on experience with microcontrollers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and fabricating microfluidic devices, building and integrating systems involving pneumatic and fluidic controls, heating/cooling modules, optical sensors, microcontroller programming, camera systems, and user-friendly GUI apps.

  • Develop prototypes of app-controlled automated medical devices and diagnostic platforms for molecular or immunological testing.
  • Design and fabricate microfluidic devices, taking projects through proof-of-concept, prototype development, optimization, and validation stages.
  • Build and integrate systems involving pneumatic and fluidic controls, heating/cooling modules, optical sensors, microcontroller programming, camera systems, and user-friendly GUI apps.
  • Ensure strict compliance with laboratory safety standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and organized documentation of all laboratory work.

Requirements

  • Min. Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering field
  • 1-2 years relevant experience
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design tools and experience with high-precision 3D printing (FDM & DLP).
  • Hands-on experience building simple circuit boards with microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, STM32) for sensor control and data acquisition.
