Role Overview
We are seeking a
high-calibre Associate
to join our investment team. This is a hands-on role for those who thrive in an entrepreneurial setting, are keen to work in a lean, fast-moving team, and are committed to unlocking superior returns through operational improvement, strategic growth, and value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Origination & Execution
Build detailed financial models, conduct commercial and financial due diligence, and draft investment memos for internal and IC review.
Assist in identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities in Southeast Asia's mid-market.
Support end-to-end transaction execution, including term negotiation and documentation.
Portfolio Management & Value Creation
Work alongside senior team members and portfolio company management to develop and execute value creation plans.
Drive analysis to identify EBITDA uplift levers, including pricing, cost optimization, procurement, and digital transformation.
Monitor portfolio performance metrics and prepare internal and LP reporting.
Support strategic initiatives such as bolt-on acquisitions, operational turnarounds, and professionalization of management teams.
Contribute to governance improvement by helping implement KPIs, dashboards, and board reporting standards.
Partner with founders and leadership teams to embed best practices in finance, operations, and talent management.
Market & Sector Research
Track macroeconomic and regulatory trends across Southeast Asia.
Deliver insights on sectors aligned to DAPE's investment thesis and thematic growth plays.
Who You Are
Academic & Analytical Excellence
: Strong training in finance, accounting, economics, or related fields. MBA or CFA is a plus.
Professional Experience
: At least 2 years at a leading local/global investment
