Overview ourteam is partnering with a fast-growing startup that is building AI-powered customer support automation for e-commerce brands. Within just a month of launching publicly, they’ve onboarded 60+ B2B customers and continue to scale rapidly. Their team is lean, engineering-driven, and composed of early-stage operators from companies like Alibaba (pre-IPO), Affirm, and PayPal. They’re moving fast, shipping often, and working directly with customers to solve real problems. What You’ll Do You’ll work across the full backend lifecycle — from talking to users to shipping features and improving infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: Engaging directly with customers to understand pain points Designing and planning backend solutions Implementing features using Python, FastAPI, and async patterns Improving and working with our LLM orchestration layer Setting up backend infrastructure and observability tools (Amplitude, Sentry)Writing both manual end-to-end tests and automated integration tests Responding to urgent issues with smart tradeoffs between speed and long-term fixes Iterating quickly based on real user feedback Qualifications 3–5 years of experience building modern, scalable backend systems Strong Python skills with experience in FastAPI, Redis, asyncio, and Google Firestore (NoSQL)Familiarity with infrastructure tools like OAuth2.0, Pub/Sub (Protobuf), and Cloud Load Balancing Solid understanding of backend best practices: system design, performance optimization, and async frameworks Bonus: Experience working with LLM libraries like LangGraph or Pinecone Clear communication, strong collaboration, and a bias toward action Able to make sound technical decisions in a fast-paced, evolving environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
