OpenText Consultant (SAP S/4HANA) – 1-Year Contract Location: Central Contract Type: 12-Month Contract (Full-Time)About the Role Our client, a leading organisation in the region, is looking for an experienced OpenText Consultant to manage and optimise their enterprise content and data archival landscape. This role focuses on OpenText Archive Center, Content Server, and SAP S/4HANA integration, with a strong emphasis on data archiving, ILM, and compliance. You will be the go-to specialist for OpenText–SAP integration, ensuring systems are stable, performant, compliant, and aligned with overall data governance and lifecycle management strategies. Key Responsibilities OpenText Administration Install, configure, upgrade, and administer OpenText components, including: OpenText Archive Center OpenText Content Server OpenText Directory Services OpenText Extended ECM for SAP Perform daily health checks, system monitoring, and proactive maintenance for the OpenText landscape. Manage backup, recovery, and capacity planning for OpenText infrastructure. Configure and manage integration connectors between OpenText and SAP systems. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as needed. SAP Data Archival & ILM Design and implement data archiving strategies for SAP S/4HANA using OpenText ArchiveLink and SAP ILM frameworks. Configure and maintain SAP ILM policies, retention rules, and legal holds for SAP business objects. Work with functional teams to identify archivable objects and define data retention and access requirements. Execute data archiving jobs and ensure transparent data access and retrieval after archival. Monitor archived data usage and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. Project & Integration Support Support new implementations, migrations, and upgrades involving SAP and OpenText components. Participate in architecture design, solution planning, and documentation for data archival, ILM, and retention processes. Collaborate closely with SAP BASIS, security, infrastructure, and functional teams to ensure secure, stable, and compliant integration. Assist in performance tuning and optimisation of storage usage through intelligent data lifecycle and ILM design. Required Qualifications & Skills At least 8 years of hands‐on experience in: Installing and configuring OpenText products (Content Server, Archive Center, Directory Services). SAP OpenText ArchiveLink integration. SAP ILM configuration and integration. Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, data structures, and archiving concepts . Proven experience configuring: Archive objects and archive routes. ILM store setup. Retention policies and legal hold scenarios. Solid background in document and records management using OpenText. Strong troubleshooting skills for integration issues between SAP and OpenText platforms. Familiarity with: Operating systems: Linux and/or Windows Databases (e.g. SQL‐based platforms)Enterprise storage environments Preferred Qualifications OpenText certifications (e.g. Content Server, Archive Center, Extended ECM). Experience with cloud‐based deployments , such as OpenText Cloud or SAP RISE . Knowledge of GDPR and other data protection / privacy compliance requirements.
